Configure your computer to periodically and automatically backup your data to a secondary internal or external drive, or secondary "volume" on the same C drive using Norton Ghost or built in Windows utilities.
Do you live in fear that if your hard drive fails you will lose all of your data because you have not backed it up?
Do you occasionally back up your data (manually) but want to configure your computer to periodically back up your data at certain intervals (such as daily or every time you turn on your computer)?
Back up your entire computer (including Windows system, programs and your data) to your existing 2nd drive or "volume" (example- drive D: or external hard drive), then additionally I will configure your computer to automatically make backups of your data to the secondary drive at various intervals. This can be done with or without Norton Ghost, but Norton Ghost has advantages and is easy to use.
It is HIGHLY recommended that your data will be backed up to a second hard drive, preferably an internal hard drive (if your computer can accommodate one) or an external drive. However if for some reason you don't wish to use a second drive, and if your main C drive has enough space, I can "repartition" a second "volume" on your C drive so that backups can be saved there. The disadvantage to this method is that if the one C drive becomes physically damaged it will be very costly to recover your data (if it is possible at all).
Consider buying Norton Ghost, as it has advantages over the Windows XP backup tools. If you have Norton Ghost on your computer (or if you additionally wish to purchase Norton Ghost) I will create a "complete system backup" on to the 2nd drive, and schedule periodic and automatic "recovery point backups" that will also be saved onto the 2nd drive.
For optimal protection PCR recommends also making a 1 time clone of your hard drive, AND scheduling automated data backups.
