NOTES:
QUESTION: What exactly do you do to eradicate spyware, viruses, trojans, and other malware? Because most antivirus cleaners are only about 97% to 99% effective, multiple virus cleaners are used. Then special tools are used to manually search for and remove hidden viruses and rootkits that may have been missed. Once malware is removed, the system is tested for damage and then fixed if possible (see example below). Understand that even when your computer is protected with up-to-date antivirus software, newer viruses are constantly being propagated. It takes time for these new viruses to be indentified, for a patch (fix) to be written, for the consumer to download the patch, and then for the consumer to run a full system scan to catch the virus on their system. Please note that sometimes viruses leave behind unrecoverable damage to the Windows operating system, which may require a complete reinstallation of Windows, though at no extra charge. The full extent of damage may be difficult to identify. Read about the pro's and cons of reinstalling Windows VS "repairing" Windows if you wish.
QUESTION: How long will it take you to service my computer? This depends largely on how much data is on your drive and how much damage exists. Most customers have between 10 and 30 GB of data, in which case your computer should be ready within 24 hours. If a "software repair" is ineffective, then allow 1 extra day for Windows reinstallation. Add a few more hours if any data must be reconfigured.
BELOW: An example of an orphan "image hijack" that was left behind after cleaning a computer with antivirus software. This computer's "task manager" (Control + Alt + Delete) was non-functional until manual fixes were made. This is just one of many examples of Windows system damage that typically results after recovering from a virus infection...
